Autumn Party Planning Ideas – Part 2
There are so many ways to get creative when planning a Fall party, and I hope this next event I have to share gets your creative juices flowing! The idea behind the party was to have a “Thanksgiving” dinner with friends that you aren’t able to celebrate with on Thanksgiving Day, putting a twist on the traditional fare to keep things interesting. The concept we created was “Soup and Sweets: Pre- Thanksgiving Dinner.” We designed a customized graphic for the party which was printed on the invitations and on the brownies (using edible ink as seen below) on the sweet table. A variety of soups were served, including sweet potato, stuffing, and turkey, along with rolls and Rhubarb Dry Soda. Large white soup bowls were presented to hold the soup and shot glasses were offered for those who preferred “soup shots” of each before they committed to a bowl. Our dessert table included apple and blackberry pie pops, vanilla bean cake, spice cupcakes, assorted licorice, jelly beans, brownies, cinnamon sugar wafers, lemon macarons, and gingersnaps. This would also be a good idea for anyone tired of the usual Thanksgiving set-up and looking for a fun twist.
