New York City Foodie Weekend
So, I got a text from my husband 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday night that read, “Cheap airfare to NYC this weekend, wanna go?” UM, YES! Ever since my sis, mom and I went this past June, I have been dying to go back and explore some more. So, we left Friday morning and began our foodie and friends weekend in NYC. Here were some of our favorite sweet finds…
Don’t even think about walking past Levain Bakery on the Upper West Side unless you’re prepared to eat a hockey puck sized cookie. The aroma of fresh baked cookie dough draws you in and next thing you know, you’re eating chocolate chip walnut, dark chocolate and chocolate chip with peanut butter chip cookies for breakfast! It’s no wonder they won a Throwdown against Bobby Flay for best chocolate chip cookie!
These are our cupcakes from Burgers and Cupcakes in Hell’s Kitchen. We got the yellow cake with whipped cream frosting and raspberry as well as the chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and real peanut butter swirl. Finally some flavorful moist cake AND amazing frosting!
