Spring Has Sprung!

We had our good friends Bob and Meghan over yesterday to celebrate one last time before they move from Chicago back to Meghan’s home-town of St. Louis. Meghan has a wonderful food blog by the way!

The bottom left photo in this inspiration board was my starting inspiration as I decorated our house before their visit. These lemon meringues (top left) were a wonderful treat and gorgeous on display. But, the real dessert (bottom right) for the evening was a homemade salted caramel ice cream and sipping chocolate pairing. Just a sensational ice cream recipe from Charmian Christie’s food blog. And with fresh “peony” tulips (top right) from our cutting garden, our house was alive with the beauty of Spring!

We had a wonderful time and wish our friends the best of luck in this next chapter of their lives.
